HITS now requires you to be a member of ProfileTracker.us.

I decided to change this because of two reasons:
1) Though I’m very grateful about the donations people made in the past, they were not able to fully cover the server costs for more than a few months.
2) Google’s Adsense program changed in such a way that the site now receives less revenue from advertising. This ad program was the primary source of funding for the site, and because of this I had to seek other options for funding.

This site has been provided as a free service since 2005. I have put quite a lot of time into this site as a hobby, but with Myspace updating their site more often, I have had to take time out of my studies in order to keep this site relatively up to date.

The community has given a lot to me and this site, but as a service, I believe this site has provided just as much.

Now, on to how to use the site:
Once you have logged into the ProfileTracker.us forums, you can either click on the “HITS” link provided on the navigation bar, or browse to the site like you normally would. Note that my site will remember you for a period of 24 hours before you will have to log in again.

Your feedback is welcome, you can post a new thread in my support forums:

Myspace profiles that have updated their look to “Profile 2.0″ are now supported.

If you encounter any problems or find that information is missing, create a new post in the support forums:

Note that the support forums now require you to validate your email address. I have enabled that option because of all the spam that was getting posted on the board.

Thanks for using the site!

It’s been quite some time since the last status update, even though there have been a lot of fixes.
Some parts of the site like the user status, mood, top friends, comments or blogs were not appearing correctly, but that has been fixed now.

As for improvements, you can now type in any of the following types of URLs into the friendID box:
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=6221
http://www.myspace.com/tom
www.myspace.com/tom
myspace.com/tom
tom
6221

As you can see, they all have some form of a friendID in there (some are numeric, others are the URL names for a profile).

This will make it easier to look up profile information by copying and pasting links directly from myspace without having to worry about getting the friendID from the URL. This should be worthwhile for those who are checking the profiles of friends of friends for example.

Well, as you may have noticed, the site suffered from some downtime. I contacted the support team my web host, and now the site is up and working again.

You shouldn’t notice any difference in how the site behaves, and thanks again to all the people who use this site on a regular basis.

Don’t forget to tell others that the site is back up!

I’m not sure whether many people had noticed, but the Interests and Details section of the profiles had not been displaying at all. I fixed this today, in addition to tweaking the Text + Code mode in order to hide certain links.

Make sure to notify me if any part of a profile should be displaying but is not. Thanks.
